Approve,by motion, a pay adjustment for Park Maintenance Superintendent Tim Sevcik retroactive to
December 31, 2017.
Background/Discussion
Upon the retirement of Street Superintendent Mark Thompson,Park Maintenance Superintendent Tim
Sevcik was given the additional responsibility of supervising and managing the Street Maintenance and
Equipment Services divisions. Based on review of our compensation plan, this change should have
moved the Park Maintenance Superintendent position from pay grade 11 to pay grade 12. This is an
approximate 5.2%increase in annual salary.
Financial Impact
The Street Superintendent positon remains vacant and this pay change will be covered by the funds
allocated to this position in the 2018 budget.
