CLOSED MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL
HELD AT THE ELK RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY
MONDAY, JULY 15, 1991
Members Present:
Mayor Tralle, Councilmembers Schuldt, Dietz and
Kropuenske
Members Absent:
Councilmember Holmgren
Staff Present:
Dave Sellergren, City Attorney; Sandra Thackeray, City
Clerk; Pat Klaers, City Administrator
Mayor Tralle called the meeting to order at 11:16 p.m.
Discussion was held regarding the assessment appeal of the Fillmore Street
assessment by Scott and Annette Mitchell. Mayor Tralle indicated that the
Council and staff have been working with the Mitchell's attorney in trying
to negotiate a settlement prior to bringing the matter to the court for
decision.
COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO NEGOTIATE A SETTLEMENT WITH SCOTT AND
ANETTE MITCHELL AS PRESENTED. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE
MOTION CARRIED 3-1. Councilmember Schuldt opposed.
Councilmember Schuldt indicated that his opposition was due to future
effects this would have on assessment projects and also due to the principal.
There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO ADJOURN THE
MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0.
The meeting of the Elk River City Council adjourned at 11:30 p.m.
