Background/Discussion
Jackson Hills Update
Following the HRA meeting on February 5, 2018, staff presented the Elk River Lodge and the Jackson
Hills Residential Suites Housing TIF applications to the Council during a work session. The Council
consensus was to not pool increment from the Jackson Hills project for the Elk River Lodge project
already approved and commenced. On February 20, the Council approved the resolution of denial for the
ER Lodge project and approved the public hearing request for the Jackson Hills project. The public
hearing for Jackson Hills is scheduled for Monday, April 16, 2018, at 6 p.m.
Main and Gates
326 Gates is winterized with gas and water shut off to the building. Staff continues to negotiate with the
owners of the two properties along Main Street.
Housing Study
The draft Housing Study is complete. Staff is reviewing the study and has asked Brian from Maxfield
present the information at the regular HRA meeting in April.
Downtown Redevelopment Project
An informational meeting for developers is scheduled for March 23, 2018, from Noon to 1:30 p.m. A
light lunch will be served for those who RSVP to the event. The HRA is welcome to attend. The meeting
will be posted in the event there is a quorum.
TIF Policy
Staff is working on potential policy revisions which will be reviewed at the April HRA meeting.
