Background/Discussion This resolution accepts a$500 donation from Cargill to plant 18 trees around the Youth Athletic Complex (YAC) softball fields. This is a continuing partnership with Cargill that began in 2016 in which the city also received $500 and planted 20 trees at YAC as well as in 2017. In addition to the monetary donation, Cargill staff will provide labor for installation. Financial Impact N/A Attachments ■ Resolution Acknowledging Donation POWERED 6T AR City of Elk River Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: City of Elk River City Council Resolution 18- A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and individuals for their contributions to the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a$500 total donation from Cargill with the intent it be used by Parks and Recreation Department for the purchase of trees for the Youth Athletic Complex. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at least four-fifths vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Cargill for their donation. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof- and the following against: ,whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
