MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL
HELD AT THE N.S.P. PLANT
MONDAY. JULY 24. 1989
MEMBERS PRESENT: Vice Mayor Schuldt. Councilmembers Kropuenske. and
Holmgren
MEMBERS ABSENT: Mayor Tralle. and Councilmember Dobel
STAFF PRESENT: Patrick Klaers. City Administrator; and Phil Hals.
Street Superintendent
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. Vice Mayor Schuldt called the meeting
of the Elk River City Council to order at 7:00 p.m.
The City Council had scheduled a tour of the N.S.P. and U.P.A. facilities.
The Council had one item of business to discuss. therefore. in the
Administration Building of N.S.P.. the meeting was called to order.
Phil Hals. Street Superintendent. presented the Council with the bids that had
been opened for the precast concrete work on the public works garage. The
Street Superintendent indicated that he received two bids. one from Bladholm
which was $69,055; and a bid from Wells Concrete which was $67,095. He
indicated that he is recommending that the Council accept the low bid from
Well's Concrete.
COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID FOR THE PRECAST CONCRETE
WORK ON THE PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE FROM WELL'S CONCRETE AT $67.095.
COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ADJOURN THE
ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
The meeting of the Elk River City Council adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
The Council then proceeded to tour the N.S.P. and U.P.A. facilities.
