Winter Tree Maintenance
The Park Maintenance Staff continues to make progress at Hillside City Park in its efforts to remove
hazardous and diseased trees and non-native buckthorn and honeysuckle. In February, the crew rented
a forestry mower to complete the removal of invasive species from the understory of the remaining 26
acres in Section 2. The crew is continuing to remove the hazardous and diseased trees throughout
Section 2;however continuous snowfalls have slowed down the process.
