Action Requested
Adopt, by motion, a resolution rescinding resolution 17-63 and adopting a new resolution approving a
premises permit for Elk River Hockey Association.
Background/Discussion
Elk River Youth Hockey submitted a request to conduct gambling at Buffalo Wild Wings, 778 Freeport
Street NW. Before the Minnesota Gambling Control Board can issue a premises permit, the local unit of
government where the premises is located must give approval by resolution. The approval must be within
90 days of the date the application is received by the Gambling Control Board.
The City Council adopted resolution 17-63 in November approving Elk River Youth Hockey
Association’s request for a premises permit at Buffalo Wild Wings. There was a delay with Youth
Hockey’s application to the Gambling Control Board and they request a new resolution.
