Adopt, by motion, the Trails Master Plan as an addendum to the Parks and Recreation Master Plan
Background/Discussion
City Council reviewed and discussed the Trails Master Plan at their March 5, 2018, Work Session. Based
on that discussion, City Council directed staff to make two changes:
■ Extend the trail north of 181" Avenue east to Cleveland Street.
Add the portion of existing trail to the map from Twin Lakes Road to Hillside City Park.
The updated plan will be an addendum to the current Parks and Recreation Master Plan replacing Figure
5.6 (page 56) in the master plan.
The Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed and recommended the final plan at their February 14,
2018 meeting. The Commission worked on the plan since January of 2017. The plan includes input and
comments from city staff, Sherburne County, and MNDOT.
