SUBJECT:
Purchase Snowplow Truck
The 2005 budget has money designated in equipment certificates for the purchase of a
tandem axle dump truck with snowplow equipment. The trucks and equipment are both
available on the Minnesota State Bid.
I would like to request Council's approval to order the truck cab and chassis soon, so that
there will be time to mount the body and plow equipment before the 2005-06 snow season
starts. I will be back to request the body and equipment at a later date.
There are many trucks available under the state contract, so I will only list the 3 least
expensive manufacturer's models that suit our needs and they are as follows:

Recommendation:
City Council approve the purchase of a International truck cab and chassis from Astleford
International Trucks, Minneapolis, Minnesota for $ 81,507.64, including sales tax.
