SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER
CITY COUNCIL
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2, 1986
Members Present: Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers Gunkel, Schuldt, Williams, and
Engstrom
Members Absent:

Tom Bublitz, City Administrator
1. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hinkle at 8:00 p.m.
2. Acceptance of Resignation From City Administrator
COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO ACCEPT THE RESIGNATION OF CITY ADMINISTRATOR,
TOM BUBLITZ, EFFECTIVE MAY 2, 1986. COUNCILMEMBER 2NGSTROM SECONDED THE
MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0.
The City Council discussed the applicants for the position of City Administrator
and agreed to interview Mr. Bill King, current City Administrator of Big Lake,
and Mr. Dave Osberg, current City Administrator of St. James, Minnesota. The
Council directed the City Administrator to set up the interviews with Mr. King
and Mr. Osberg within the next week. The Council also indicated that they may
interview other applicants in addition to Mr. Osberg and Mr. King.
3. Adjournment
COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL
SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0.
The Elk River City Council adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
