Background/Discussion At the February 14, 2018, Parks and Recreation Commission meeting, staff recommended the three projects approved in the Park Improvement Fund be paused until City Council provides direction to proceed. The City Council agreed to pause work on design and development of ice arena improvements on February 5, 2018, to consider a single multipurpose civic center. The Council met in a special meeting on February 8 to confirm multipurpose facility direction;however, did not discuss possible location for such facility. To maintain location options,pending Council's direction, staff felt it was in the city's best interest to minimize investments in potential location options. At the March 5, 2018,regular meeting the Council motioned to approve Oak Knoll projects and wait on the Dave Anderson Athletic Complex (DAAC) until the work session where a discussion was scheduled to discuss a referendum for a single, multipurpose civic center. Following the work session discussion however, a motion to proceed with these projects was not made. The Council further discussed the referendum for a civic center at the April 2 work session,but did not address locating the facility at DAAC. During the meeting, the council did express a consensus to maintain the ice arena at the current location. The three projects include: ■ Scoreboards for$40,000 ■ Irrigation for $120,000 Financial Impact The projects are budgeted in the 2018 Park Improvement Fund. Attachments ■ None POWERED 6T AR
