Action Requested
Recommend,by motion,park dedication for the plat of Miske Meadows 5th be paid for 57 dwelling units
at the rate applicable when the subdivision is released for recording. (This will be$81,278.01 at the 2018
low density rate)
Background/Discussion
The subject property is part of the Miske Meadows development. The property is located south of Twins
Lakes Rd NW and West of Cleveland Rd NW.
Parks and Recreation Commission
The Neighborhood Parks Service Area text in Chapter 5 of the master plan states, recreation facilities should
be developed when 300 or more households within cluster developments or on lots less than 2 acres are located within 1.5
miles of the park. The subject property does meet this criteria,however at the December 13,2017 Parks
and Recreation Commission meeting,the Commission recommended not to allocate land to a park
development in that the desired park layout is not achievable in this area due to site contours. When the
land to the south is developed,a park will be developed that the Commission feels will better meet the
needs of the overall area.
