• Hillside City Park Trail Reconstruction—Bid opening for reconstruction of Sections 1 and 2 at
Hillside City Park was conducted on March 31,2018. Only one bid was received, however the
bid was from a very reputable trail builder and was within budget. Approval of the contract will
be recommended to City Council at the April 16,2018 regular meeting. The vendor has
indicated a desire to complete this project prior to June 1, 2018.
• Deerfield Hill Park—Staff is currently working with vendors on the design of the new
playground for Deerfield Hill Park. Four different design options were provided by the vendor
for the playground and discussed with the vendor on April 4,2018. Minor changes were
recommended to the preferred design. Construction is anticipated to be conducted in August,
2018.
• Oak Knoll Athletic Field Lighting and Scoreboard—City Council approved the contract with
Musco Lighting at the March 5,2018 City Council Meeting. Staff has been working with Musco
on the installation timeline and it is anticipated that the equipment will be delivered and installed
beginning the week of April 9,2018. Final installation will be dependent on the weather in order
to allow for electrical conduit to be installed by ERMU.
• The Elk River Youth Basketball Association has donated$13,400 for the installation of four new
basketball hoops and lights for the basketball courts at Lions John Weicht Park. ERMU has
agreed to assist with this project by installing the four new light poles.
