SUBJECT: Special Meeting of the Elk River Heritage Preservation Commission
This is a brief discussion of the meeting on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at the Elk River
City Hall in the Elk River Municipal Utilities Conference Room. The agenda is included with
this memo.
General Business
6.1 Jackson Street Water Tower
We have contacted multiple consultants regarding the preparation of construction
documents for the restoration work on the water tower. We will have more information
available at the meeting.
6.2 Heritage Preservation Webpage
BrieAnna updated the walking tour section of the webpage, and we would like a final
review on the language. What additional information does the commission see for online
content related to the HPC?Do we want a monthly article/blog?
6.3 Downtown Elk River Sign Ordinance Amendment
The city has received a request for an amendment to the downtown sign ordinance. Staff
would like the HPC to review the request. Examples of the request will be presented
during the meeting.
