ACH, CITY PLANNER DATE: DECEMBER 1, 1994 SUBJECT: SOUTHWEST PLANNING AREA (LAND USE OPTIONS ALONG NORTH SIDE OF HIGHWAY 10) At the last Steering Committee meeting, there was discussion regarding the possible land use options along the north side of Highway 10 between Joplin and Waco Street. As requested by the Steering Committee, some maps illustrating the current conditions and possible land use options have been prepared and included for your review. • The three options included in your packet are only three of several options that could possibly occur. However, the three options presented do make an effort in avoiding the existing homes that currently exist along Naples Street and Troy Street. Both of the commercial areas have a minimum depth of 300 feet, which is a typical dimension for convenience or "strip" commercial along major roadways. In conclusion, these three options should assist in the Committee's discussion to formulate some preferred land use options along the north side of Highway 10. • P.O.
