SUBJECT: UPDATE ON STEERING COMMITTEE'S
REVIEW OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
The Steering Committee has been meeting on a monthly basis to receive
public input on various sections of the Comprehensive Plan. Meetings have
focused on numerous issues including the following:
• Commercial and Industrial development
• Residential development within the four planning areas (north,
southwest, central, and southeast)
• Transportation
II • Sewer and Water
• Parks and Recreation (topic will be discussed at February Steering
Committee meeting)
A considerable amount of information has been received during this process
that will go into updating the Comprehensive Plan. Bob Minton, Chairman
of the Steering Committee, will be at the City Council meeting to provide this
update on the process to this point and elaborate on future meetings and
anticipated timeline to completion.
