Background/Discussion
Ms. Carlson is retiring after 22 years of service with the municipal liquor operation. We wish Ms. Carlson
a wonderful, fun-filled happy retirement. Liquor operations staff will be in attendance to talk about her
employment with the city over the years.

PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Vickie L. Carlson has retired from the Liquor Operations Division after 22
years of service; and
WHEREAS, Vickie has earned the respect and friendship of her peers, co-workers, and the
Elk River community; and
WHEREAS, For her dedicated service, the City Council extends their sincere appreciation to
Vickie and wish her a long,happy, and healthy retirement!
THEREFORE, I,John J. Dietz,Mayor of the City of Elk River, do hereby proclaim Tuesday,
June 5, 2018 as VICKIE L. CARLSON DAY,in recognition and appreciation of the loyal
and professional service provided by Vickie.
