Elk River Public Library Board
The Library Board serves in an advisory capacity to city of Elk River for issues related to the Elk River Public Library grounds, the physical building
and interior fixtures. The city is responsible for scheduling and coordinating all work to be completed.
Zone Assigned Specifics Zone Issues
Zone 1 Mary K. Entrance; butterfly garden;windmill, prairie grass; rain garden in • Kiosk at front door(Will be
parking lot, planter boxes for Master Gardeners summer installed when ground thaws per

3. Handicap curbing at the drop off area (4/4/18: Reported to Tim Sevcik, Park Maintenance Super)
4. Caterpillar upholstery and chairs replaced in Children's area (4/4/18: Reported to Gary Lore, Building Maintenance
Super)
5. Reupholster couches in Teen area (4/4/18: Reported to Gary Lore, Building Maintenance Super)
CIP ITEMS IDENTIFIED BUT NOT RANKED FOR PRIORITY
1. More comfortable chairs or comfortable flooring in the Children's area cave
2. Cork floors replaced in the Teen area
3. New rug in Fiction lounge
4. New shelving units (or check for warranty) in Teen area
5. New DVD shelving units or hardware to anchor shelves together(tip over easily)
6. Diamond plated sheets (or something like that) installed on numerous walls in the Staff Area to protect the
walls from cart damage (4/4/18: Reported to Gary Lore, Building Maintenance Super in case he wants to fix to
prevent drywall damage. Not a high riority to the Board because it is out of public view.)
6. New hand dryers in bathrooms, relocated closer to sinks; urinals in some or all of the unisex bathrooms.
(3/27/18: On hold at this time per information received at meeting from Gary Lore, Building Maintenance Supervisor.)
