Proclaim June 6, 2018, as Firefighter George Anderson Day.
Background/Discussion
Firefighter George Anderson was hired as an on-call firefighter on June 1, 1988. Firefighter Anderson
was actively involved in the department including assisting with developing and delivering training
programs, completing routine fire inspections, and serving in various leadership roles including lieutenant
and captain.
Firefighter Anderson retired from the Elk River Fire Department after serving 30 years on June 1, 2018.
