Action Requested
1. Approve, by motion, resolution acknowledging a contribution from The Bank of Elk River.
2. Presentation of a commemorative plaque.
Background/Discussion
The Bank of Elk River has contributed funds to support the Riverfront Concert Series operated by the
Elk River Parks and Recreation Department.
Attached is a resolution acknowledging and recognizing The Bank of Elk River for their contribution
towards the 2018 Riverfront Concert Series.
We are in the second year of a three-year contract with The Bank of Elk River to sponsor the concert
series. The contract is for the years 2017 to 2019.
Representatives from The Bank of Elk River will be in attendance.
Financial Impact
The financial contribution is in the amount of $16,000 for the 2018 season. $16,000 will also be the
sponsorship amount for the 2019 Riverfront Concert series.

A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $16,000 donation from The Bank of Elk
River with the intent it be used by the Elk River Parks and Recreation Department for the
Riverfront Concert Series.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend The Bank of Elk River for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
______________, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
