05-06-1977 CC MIN - SPECIAL ,., Special Council Meeting May 6, 1977 at 11:45 a.m. Members present Mayor Lundberg, Councilmember Konop, Otto and Toth, Chief of Police, Joe Zerwas was also inattendance. Mayor Lundberg called the meeting to order at 11:45 a.m. The Council reviewed the minutes of the Improvements Committee Meeting held May 5, 1977 at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers of the City Hall. Chief Zerwas presented two bid quotations and a summary of the specifications on the squad cars. The following bids quotations were received: Country Chrysler Elk River Ford Mercury 1977 P~outh Fury-4 door-w/trade-in 1977 LTD 11-4 door-w/ trade-in $3,948.70 $3,649.64 Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Toth approving the awarding of the patrol car bid quotation to Country Chrysler for the 1977 P~outh Fury 4 door in the bid amount of $3,948.70 with the 1976 Dodge patrol car as trade-in, also the Council approved the higher bid based on the recommendations set forth in the Chief of Police stimlnary letter which is attached. Motion unaminously carried by.a vote of 4-0. Moved by Councilmember Konop and seconded by Councilmember Otto approving the purchase request of the City Dutch Elm Inspector, Terry Mack, for tree climbing gear for the purpose of taking samples of diseased trees to be drawn on the Dutch Elm Fund account. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. Moved by Councilmember Toth and seconded by Councilmember Konop calling for a preliminary engineering report for the 1977 Street Improvements as set forth in the Street superinten- dent proposal and to include all those streets in School View 1st Addition that have not yet been completed. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. The Clerk was instructed to draft a letter to Marvin George explaining the cities intention for these street improvements.
