DISCUSSION:
• Had 13 new house services.
• Continue working on collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time permits.
• We finished changing out some street light fixtures to LED in parts of Otsego and along
Highway 10.
• We installed a transformer and bored a conduit across the ERMU parking lot for the
electrician so they could run the wire in for the new car charger at our main office.
• We are changing out some of our old transformers in the city of Dayton. Once they are
removed from service, they'll be tested for PCB's in the oil; if it's determined they're
contaminated they will be disposed of through Clean Harbors.
• We are rebuilding some single phase overhead primary and secondary with single phase
underground primary and secondary on Edison Street.
• We installed four lights for the City at the basketball court located in Lion's Park.
• We installed the three phase primary underground and a padmount transformer for the
Guardian Angels building in Otsego. We also installed three street lights for the City of
Otsego at this location.
• We replaced two house services that went bad over the winter; one was under the road
and the other one went through a swamp.
• We started installing the infrastructure in Areas 5&6 heading north of the Waco
substation. This project was started in 2017 and is being done in preparation of the two
areas to be acquired this September. As Connexus is keeping their feeder in these areas,
this additional work is required.
• Darren Weber, Curt Wark and Jared Rolstad attended the Minnesota Municipal Utilities
Association(MMUA)Underground School held May 15-19 in Marshall, MN.
• I serve on the MMUA Job Safety and Training Committee;this committee helps plan the
schools MMUA puts on throughout the year. At our recent meeting, we worked through
the details of the Overhead School coming up in September, and the 2nd Annual
Minnesota Lineman Rodeo to be held the Monday before the school.
