ACTION REQUESTED:

DISCUSSION:
• Delivered 15 new water meters.
• Sealed the water meter, and took curb stop ties from nine water services.
• Completed 25 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples
o All confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria.
o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Report submitted to the MDH
• Completed 20 routine fluoride samples
o All samples met MDH standards.
o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report
• Submitted MPCA Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for the Diesel Generation Plant.
• The variable frequency drive (VFD) for Well #8 has been replaced, and the well has been
put back in service.
• Well#9 has been reinstalled. We are in the process of chlorinating the well and taking
bacteria tests. As soon as we pass two tests,we will put the well back into service.
• Our seasonal employee started on May 8. He will be servicing fire hydrants and assisting
with valve exercising.
• The water operators continue to work on validating our water system map. We are
working towards locating the entire city to ensure we have accountability of the
distribution system.
• The directional drilling of the water main under Lake Orono started on June 4. It is
expected to take two weeks for the work to be completed.
• Hydrant flushing went very smooth; it took the water operators four and a half days to
complete.
• As Suburban Utilities Superintendent Association (SUSA)President, I attended the May
meeting. For the May meeting we toured US Bank Stadium.
