EGty1 ,., Request for Action River To Item Number Mayor and City Council 10.2 Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by Work Session July 2, 2018 Michael Hecker, Parks and Recreation Director Item Description Reviewed by Athletic Complex and Recreation Project Financing Cal Portner, City Administrator Reviewed by Action Requested Receive and discuss athletic Complexes Master Plan and overall park priorities for the sales tax referendum. Background/Discussion The City Council approved the three athletic complex master plans at their meeting on June 18. Due to the timing of the recreational facilities discussion, the projected project costs were not fully estimated. City Council also discussed the park and trail priorities recommended by the Parks and Recreation Commission on June 18. The completion of the Orono Park Master Plan was discussed as a first priority by both the Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council. The priority list was discussed in the order of Orono Park,Trails and Athletic Complexes The list of athletic complex priorities with costs was provided to City Council (6-27-18) along with the Est of costs for the Orono Park Master Plan. It is recommended that the City Council develop a finalized list of park and trail priority projects. The projects will then be placed into an official list for the sales tax referendum if so desired on July 16.
