I, Thomas Mesich, Planning Commission Chair, hereby request a
special meeting of the Planning Commission Tuesday, November 14, 2000,
at 6:30 p.m., at the Elk River City Hall Training Room.
The purpose of the meeting is to conduct regular Planning Commission
business which was originally scheduled for the October 24, 2000 Planning
Commission meeting. The October 24, 2000 meeting was postponed to
November 14, 2000 due to lack of a quorum.
• In accordance with State Statute, I hereby request the city clerk to post this
notice at least three days prior to the meeting date. I further request the city
clerk to notify each member of the Planning Commission of this special
meeting, in writing, at least one day before the meeting.

The Planning Commission is an advisory body to the City Council. One of the Commission's functions is to hold public
hearings and make recommendations to the City Council. The City Council makes all final decisions on these matters.
Elk River City Ordinances require that certain documents and information be included in applications. The Planning
Commission may postpone consideration of an application that is incomplete and may,for other reasons, postpone final
action on an application. For each item the Commission will receive reports prepared by the City staff,open the hearing
to the public,and discuss and act upon the application. Those present are asked to turn off all cell phones and pagers.
