Overview
Simonson's Salon and Day Spa is a full service salon with hair, nail,tanning and massage
services located in the new commercial center at the intersection of Holt/Jackson Streets
and Highway 169.Therapeutic massage will be a small portion of their business.It will be
• located in a private spa area within the facility and will include 4 massage tables. The

III applicant will employ 2 masseuses. The private spa area will be open Monday—Thursday
9:00 am to 9:00 pm,Friday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 ma to 5:00 pm and Sunday
11:00 am to 5:00 pm, the same hours as the rest of the spa.
A separate massage therapist license will have to be obtained from the City.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Planning Commission recommend approval of the request for a
conditional use permit for a therapeutic massage with the following condition:
1. A massage therapist license be obtained prior to the commencement of services.
