Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Nicole Petty to the position of Full Time Liquor Store Clerk effective
August 14, 2018.
Background/Discussion
An additional Full Time Liquor Store Clerk position was approved the June 4, 2018, City Council
meeting. Staff interviewed candidates and recommends Nicole Petty for this position.
Ms. Petty currently works for Bachman’s Floral and Garden as an Interior Landscaping and Plant Leasing
Technician at businesses in the metro area. She has retail experience from Bachman’s working as a Floral
Designer and also from her time at Domino’s Pizza.
Ms. Petty will start at step A of pay grade 6N. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
Funds for this position will come from budget savings realized in the pay difference between the retiring
clerk and the new clerk as well as the savings realized while the position was vacant.
