REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER
HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BDLG.
~ February 17, 1976 at 7:30 PM.
~The Regular Semi-Monthly Meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order by Mayor
Lundberg on February 17, 1976 at 7:30 PM. in the Council Chambers of the City Office Bldg.
Members present were as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Otto & Syring.
The minutes of the February 2, 1976 meeting were reviewed, the motion pertaining to the
authorized expenditure of $500.00 to purchase a remote for the Police Dept. should read
receiver station radio remote. As there were no other additions or corrections the minutes
were approved as corrected.
Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Otto approving the following sewe:
rental rate increases residential from $2.00 to $2.50 commercial minimum from $3.00 per month
to $3.50, formula for calculation to be 50% of the quarterly yearly average. Motion unani-
mously carried by a vote of 3-0.
Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Syring approving the revised fire
contracts with Elk River Township, Burns Township, Otsego Township, and Big Lake Township.
The Burns and Otsego Township contract are to include a map out ling the approximate coverage
boundaries. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0.
Mayor Lundberg appointed Councilmember Syring to serve on the committee for Community
Education for School District 728.
Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Syring approving the expenditure of
~336.00 for the purchase of a forced air ventilator blower for use in sewer manholes.

.~oved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember otto granting the Elk River
Jaycees a three day non-intoxicating on sale liquor license for July 2, 3, & 4 1976 at
a fee of $10.00 per day total $30.00. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0.
Moved by Councilmember Otto and seconded by Councilmember Syring approving the paying of the
General Government bills and Liquor Stores bills for payment as presented and listed. Motion
unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0.
No further business the meeting adjourned at 8:55 PM.
