07-06-1976 CC MIN REGULAR SEtH-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER HElD IN THE COUNCIL ClfAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. July 6, 1976 at 7:30 PM. o Members o o present Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Hudson and Syring. The minutes of the June 21, 1976 meeting were reviewed as there were no additions or corrections the minutes were approved as printed. Three citizens Harry Kreuser, Jerry Mcchesney, Bob Dilly met with the Council regarding the reopening of the old boat landing on York Avenue also discussed the problems with the new boat landing. The Council stated that they present a petition requesting a public hearing be held by the City Council regarding these problems. ~~. 8:05 PM. Mayor Lundberg declared the public hearing to vacate that part of the alley that is presently incruching on Mr. Solheims property. A majority of the residence effected by the proposed vacating of the alley off of School Street and 8th Street were in attendance for the public hearing. It was concluded that a survey by our City Engineers be prepared before any final action can be taken. Moved by Mayor Lundberg and seconded by Councilmember Hudson calling for a hearing to improv or vacate the alley that runs off of School Street to 8th Street for August 2, 1976 at 8:00 PM. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Syring calling for the opening of bids for the 1976 Street Improvements for July 26, 1976 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chamber of the City Hall and authorizing the Clerk to advertise in the Construction Bulletin and the Sherburne County Star News of the bid opening. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Hudson approving the paying of the General Governments bills for payment as listed. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. No further business the meeting ajourned at 9:00 PM. .~ Clerk-Treasurer
