Present Were: George Zabee Vice Chairman James Tralle Trustee Others Present: Bill Birrenkott General Manager Pat Klaers City Administrator Terry Maurer City Engineer Bob McCartney Water Superintendent Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent John Bogart Windsor Development 1) The meeting was called to order at 3 :00 P.M. by Vice Chairman Zabee. 2) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the agenda as amended. The Motion carried. 3) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as distributed. The motion carried. 4 ) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee to ask the City Council to draft the ordinance requiring water connection within two years of when this service is made available to them to include only those affected from this day forward. The Motion carried. 5) The Line Superintendent reviewed the status of construction projects and other operating conditions. 6) The General Manager reported that we had a computer malfunction and have been unable to prepare financial statements for the last two months. He expected the problem to be fixed very soon. 7 ) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee, to approve the check register. 8) Mr. John Bogart with Windsor Development presented the Commissioners with plans for a housing development which would require the utilities to build another water tower and well in the Meadowvale area. He was informed that these facilities were not on the timetable until 1999. Terry Maurer informed him that the devoloper could always build a booster pump to handle the interim water requirements. The Commissioners stated that they did not feel that the Utilities would participate in the cost of this booster pump. No other action was taken. 9) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the list of street lights as presented by the Street Light Committee. The motion carried. 14) The next meeting was set for Tuesday, February 7, 1995 at 3:00 P.M. at the Utilities office. 15) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee to adjourn. The motion Carried. Bill Birrenkott General Manager E River Police Department December 14, 1994 Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission 322 King Avenue NW Elk River, Minnesota 55330 Dear Commissioners: On Monday, December 12 , 1994 , the "Lighting Committee" which consists of Commissioner George Zabee, Utilities Foreman Glen Sundeen, and I met to discuss the placement of additional street lights for 1995. As authorized by the Utilities Commission, we selected fifteen (15) locations for consideration as sites for the placement of new street lights. Below is a list of all fifteen locations that we are recommending: 1) 189th Avenue and Elk Lane 2) 201st Avenue and Highway 169 3) Jackson Avenue and 1912 Avenue 4) Jackson Avenue between 191st and 194th Avenues 5) Jackson Avenue between 191st and 194th Avenues 6) County Road 1 and 193rd Avenue 7) Proctor Road and 199th Avenue 8) Irving Street and 194th Avenue 9) Irving Street and 197th Avenue (north intersection) 10) Lowell Street and 197th Avenue 11) Zane Street and 192nd Avenue 12) Holt Street and Jackson Avenue 13) Denver Street and County Road 30 14) Macon Street and County Road 30 15) Rawlins Street and County Road 30 16) Optional carry over to 1995 P.O.
