UTILITIES COMMISSION MINUTES
October 10, 1995
3:00 P.M.
Present Were: George Zabee President
James Tralle Vice Chairman
John Dietz Trustee
Others Present:
Bill Birrenkott, General Manager; Bob McCartney, Water
Superintendent; Glenn Sundeen, Line Superintendent
1 ) The meeting was called to order at 3: 05 P.M. by President
Zabee.
2) Motion by Mr. Dietz, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the
agenda as amended. The Motion carried.
3) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Dietz to approve the
minutes of the previous meeting. The motion carried.
4 ) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Dietz to retain the audit
firm of Abdo, Abdo & Eich to audit the Utilities and revisit
the issue in two years. The motion carried.
5) It was decided to defer the decision on a substance abuse
policy to a future meeting.
6) The Water Superintendent reported on the status of various
water department projects.
7 ) The Line Superintendent reviewed the status of construction
projects and other operating conditions.
8) The General Manager reviewed the September financial statements
with the Commissioners. Motion by Mr. Dietz, seconded by Mr.
Zabee to receive and file the September financial statements.
The motion carried.
9) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee, to approve the
check register. The motion carried.
10) Motion by Mr. Dietz, seconded by Mr. Zabee to authorize the
General Manager to enter into an agreement to do an ADA
assessment. The motion carried.
11) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Dietz to charge long line
extensions with very little load associated with them $4 .75 per
foot and $400 per meter. The motion carried.
12 ) The next meeting was set for Tuesday, November 14, 1995 at 4 :00
P.M. at the Utilities office.
13) Motion by Mr. Dietz, seconded by Mr. Zabee to adjourn. The
motion Carried. Meeting adjourned at 4:35 P.M.
