UTILITIES COMMISSION MINUTES
January 5, 1993
4 :00 P.M.
Present Were: George Zabee President
James Tralle Vice Chairman

1) The meeting was called to order at 4 :00 P.M. by President Zabee.
2 ) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the
agenda. The motion carried.
3 ) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the
minutes of the previous meeting as distributed. The motion
carried.
4 ) The General Manager reviewed the bids received on the new
transformer to be installed at the West Substation site. He
reported that seven bids were received with prices ranging from
$205, 783 to $269,783 . Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee
to authorize the General Manager to negotiate with the low bidder
for the purchase of the specified transformer for a price not to
exceed $205,783. The motion carried.
5) The General Manager reported that the acquisition from Anoka
Electric is proceeding with the planned area to be completed by
January 31st if the weather cooperates.
6) The General Manager reported that a customer in the Westwood area,
who has been paying for his own security light, is requesting that
the light be included with the City street lights in the future.
This request will be forwarded to the Street Light Committee for
the planned 1993 additions.
7 ) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the monthly
expenditures. The motion carried.
8) The Line Superintendent reported on the status of operating
conditions and construction projects.
9) The next regular meeting of the Commissioners was set for Tuesday,
February 9, 1993 at 4 :00 P.M. at the Utilities Office.
10) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Tralle to adjourn. The
motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:35 P.M.
