10-03-1989 ERMU MIN COMMISSION MEETING
October 3 , 1989
Tuesday 7 :00 P.M.

1) The meeting was called to order at 7 : 00 P.M. by President Tralle.
2) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr . Zabee to approve the
minutes of the previous meeting as presented and distributed .
Motion carried.
3) Steve Rohlf, City Building and Zoning Administrator, expressed
his concern over the practices of the Utilities in storing
potentially contaminated transformers .
Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr . Simpson, to have Roger Heuer
of NSP attend our next meeting and to explore the possibility of
a fire retardant wall around our storage tank at the shop.
Motion carried .
4) The General Manager updated the Commission on the status of
negotiations with Anoka Electric.
5) The Line Superintendent updated the Commission on the status of
construction projects and operating conditions .
6) The Environmental Compliance Officer informed the Commission that
the Utilities presently do not have any transformers on site with
possible contamination. There are two transformers in
"compliance storage" awaiting test results. The Utilities has
expended approximately $10,000 thus far to get to this stage of
"complete compliance" with EPA regulations .
7) The proposed equipment budget was reviewed and discussed with the
Commissioners .
8) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr . Zabee to send a letter to
Ed Clinkscales informing him of our decision regarding the
drainage problem and earthwork in the power plant area . Motion
carried.
9) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr . Zabee to appoint a
compensation Committee to report at future meetings. Motion
carried .
President Tralle appointed Mr . Simpson, Mr . Zabee and the General
Manager, to the compensation committee.
10) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr . Zabee to adjourn. Motion
carried. Meeting adjourned at 10 :10 P.M.
