12-07-1989 ERMU MIN COMMISSION MEETING
December 7, 1989
Thursday 7:00 P.M.
Present Were: James Tralle President
George Zabee Vice Chairman
Jim Simpson Trustee
Bill Birrenkott General Manager
Others Present: Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent
1) The meeting was called to order at 7 : 00 P.M. by President Tralle.
2) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr . Zabee to approve the
minutes of the previous meeting as presented and distributed .
Motion carried.
3) Motion by Mr Zabee, seconded by Mr . Simpson to approve the 1990
budget as presented. The motion carried.
4) The General Manager informed the Commission on the status of the
Hand Held Meter Reading Devices .
5) The Line Superintendent informed the Commission on the status of
construction projects and planned future construction. The
Commissioners were also informed of the policy to no longer
install home services by laying underground cable on the ground.
This was necessitated by liability concerns expressed by
insurance company.
6) The November financial statements were reviewed with the
Commissioners .
7) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to pursue the
investigation into home security systems to be provided as a
service to our customers . The motion carried .
8) The next meeting was set for Tuesday, January 9th at 7 : 00 P.M. at
the Utilities office.
9) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr . Zabee to adjourn. Motion
carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
