06-05-1990 ERMU MIN UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
June 5 , 1990
Tuesday 7 :00 P.M.
Present Were: George Zabee President
Jim Simpson Vice Chairman
Bill Birrenkott General Manager
Others Present: Ray Menard Minnesota Conway Fire & Safety
Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent
Absent Was: James Tralle Trustee
1) The meeting was called to order at 7 : 00 P.M. by President Zabee.
2) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr . Zabee to approve the
Agenda. Motion carried.
3) Motion by Simpson, seconded by Mr . Zabee to approve the minutes of
the previous meeting as presented and distributed. Motion carried.
4) Ray Menard of Minnesota Conway reported on the status of Home
Security systems .
5) The General Manager reported on the status of negotiations with
Anoka Electric Cooperative.
6) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr . Zabee to:
a) Install a residential rate of 7¢ per Kwh to be used for bills
mailed in June through October .
b) Install a winter rate of 70 per Kwh for the first 400 Kwh and
5 .50 per Kwh for all Kwh over 400 for bills rendered in
November through May.
c) Install a Power Cost Adjustment of 3 mils on the commercial
rate for the bills mailed in June through October .
d) These rates are to be effective immediately. The motion
carried.
7) The Line Superintendent reported on the status of construction and
operations .
8) The May financial statements were reviewed with the Commissioners .
9) The next meeting was set for Monday, July 2 at 4:00 P.M. at the
Utilities Office.
10) Motion by Mr . Simpson, seconded by Mr . Zabee to adjourn. Motion
carried. Meeting adjourned at 9: 10 P.M.
