07-02-1990 ERMU MIN UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
July 2, 1990
Monday 4 :00 P.M.
Present Were: George Zabee President
Jim Simpson Vice Chairman
Others Present: Tony Rudde United Power Association
Rick Newland Anoka Electric Cooperative
Glenn Sundeen Line Superentendent
Absent Was: James Tralle Trustee
1) The meeting was called to order at 4: 00 P.M. by President Zabee.
2) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the
Agenda. Motion carried.
3) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the
minutes of the previous meeting as presented and distributed.
Motion carried.
4) Rick Newland and Tony Rudde discussed our agreement for territory
acquisition and possible extension of our power contract. Tony
Rudde explained that our contract was based on market-based rates
and UPA was committed to providing us electricity at a price no
other competitor could match. A full agreement and proposal will
be presented at a future meeting.
5) The Line Superintendent reviewed the status of all projects and
operating conditions with the Commissioners.
6) The General Manager reviewed the June Financial statements with
the Commissioners.
7) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to appoint Ray
Doebler to the position of Plant Superintendent effective July 1,
1990 with a wage of $15. 31 per hour.
8) The next meeting was set for Tuesday, August 7, 1990 at 4:00 P.M.
at the Utilities office.
9) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to adjourn. Motion
carried. Meeting adjourned at 5: 30 P.M.
