UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING
September 11, 1990
4 : 00 P.M.
Present Were: George Zabee President
Jim Simpson Vice Chairman
James Tralle Trustee
Bill Birrenkott General Manager
Others Present: Linda Parr Rons Foods
Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent
1) The meeting was called to order at 4: 00 P.M. by President Zabee.
2) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the
Agenda. Motion carried.
3) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to approve the
minutes of the previous meeting as presented and distributed.
Motion carried.
4) The meter mix-up at the Sherburne Lodge was discussed and analyzed
and it was decided to do no additional billing at this time.
5) Motion by Mr. Tralle, seconded by Mr. Simpson to pay those linemen
working as Lead Linemen a bonus pay of 40 cents per hour for those
hours worked in the Lead Lineman capacity. Motion carried.
6) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Tralle to hire Steve Nordahl
in the position of Home Security Installer/Assistant Plant
Operator with a pay range of $7.50 - $14. 40 per hour. Motion
Carried.
7) The General Manager reported the following bids were received on
the new bucket truck:
Truck Utilities $88,943 . 00
RMS $92 , 868 . 20
LZ Company (did not meet specs) $82 , 597 . 00
Altec $69,412 . 00
Motion by Mr. Tralle to award a purchase order to Altec in the
amount of $69, 412 for the specified equipment. Motion Carried.
8) The Line Superintendent reviewed the status of all projects and
operating conditions with the Commissioners.
9) The General Manager reviewed the August Financial statements with
the Commissioners.
10) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to donate
electricity to the Sherburne County Historical Society for a
possible museum not to exceed $200 per month. Motion carried.
11) The next meeting was set for Monday, October 1, 1990 at 4 : 00 P.M.
at the Utilities office.
12) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to adjourn. Motion
