UTILITIES COMMISSION MINUTES
April 14 , 1992
4 : 00 P.M.
Present Were: George Zabee President
James Tralle Vice Chairman
James Simpson Trustee
Bill Birrenkott General Manager
Others Present: Glenn Sundeen
Bob McCartney
1) The meeting was called to order at 4 : 00 P.M. by President Zabee.
2) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the
agenda. The motion carried.
3) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the
minutes of the previous meeting as distributed. The motion
carried.
4) The General Manager reported that the following bids were received
on the advertised Line Truck.
Simon Telelect $103 , 202
Equipment Rental Co $117 , 816
Altec $106, 621
R.M S $103 , 533
The truck quoted by R.M.S . did not meet specifications.
Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to award the
purchase order to the low bid of $103 , 202 to Simon Telelect. The
motion carried.
5) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle, to contribute $150
toward the High School graduation class. The motion carried.
6) Bob McCartney informed the Commission of a letter which will be
sent to several home owners being served by the Elk River water
system regarding lead monitoring.
7) The General Manager was instructed to coordinate with the City
Administrator to arrange a joint meeting with the City Council.
8) The Line Superintendent reported on the status of construction
projects and other operating conditions.
9) The next meeting was set for Tuesday, May 5, 1992 at 4 : 00 P.M.
at the Utilities office.
10) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Tralle to adjourn. The
motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5: 00 P.M.
