Subject: 69KV Transformer Bid
On August 30, 2005, bids vv ere received for one (1) 69KV Transformer for the West
Substation Upgrade, and an option to purchase a second identical Transformer for the
substation 14 Upgrade Project to service the proposed Target facility.
11. Attached is a bid tabulation reflecting the results of this bid.
Due to delivery and product quality issues, we only received two bids. Wesco's initial
' price is so low because they inadvertently neglected to include the price of the Load Tap
Charger (LTC). They amended the bid after the bid time to include the Load Tap
Charger. Staff will be recommending the Waukesha Transformer, but will make a
' recommendation at the meeting as to what type of LTC. The Reinhausen LTC was
specified. Both bids included a Resistance LTC as an alternative.
