Action Requested
Accept, by motion, the quote received for work on various small street improvement projects for 2018 by
North Valley Inc., in the amount of $103,535.37.
Background/Discussion
For 2018, $600,000 was budgeted from the Pavement Management Fund to conduct street maintenance
and repairs. The Public Works Department conducts large street improvement projects on odd number
years and smaller projects on even number years. For 2018, a number of small improvements were
identified in which sections of pavement have failed prematurely. A total of six small projects will be
completed at various locations throughout the city with treatments consisting of overlay, and edge mill
and overlay. Construction is anticipated to start in late August of this year and be completed by the end
of October.
The 2018 street improvement quote package was sent out to three contractors with all three contractors
submitting quotes. The lowest responsible quote was submitted by North Valley Inc. in the amount of
$103,535.37.
