A Special meeting of the Village Council was held at
Village Hall on konday Oct.14th,1929

Meetine called to order by the Pres,at e.30 P.fu.
This meeting was called b~T 1.Jhe Pres.who stated that
the purpose of this meetine was to adopt a Resoluticn
in regard to the Sewer in Hastings Addition,and
Authorizing Toltz,King,& Day Engineers to proceed
with the advertising for bids on the project
After the plans and specifications had been examined
by the Visitors and comments made and discussed the
following Resolution was presented to the Council f~
its adoption or rejection

Trustee who moved its adoption.

A Resolution r~lating to the construction of Sewers
in Sewer District Number One in the Village of Elk
Ri ver l't'1innesota.
Wgereas:-by Ordinance ~o,25 there has been created in and
for the Village of Elk River,Sherburne County,~inn.
a sewer district known and numbered as " Sewer District
NumberedOne"

Now,Therefore,Be it $J#1*~J$xx RESOLVED by the Village
Council of the Village of .Elk River,Sherburne County,
kinnesota,as follows,
That it is advisable , expedient and necessary for the
preservation of the health of the inhabitants of said
Village and foe their use and convenience that a
system of Sewers be constructed in Sewer District
bumber One in said Village
That said Sewer system be constructed in accordance
with the provisions of General Statutes,fuinnesota,

amendato~y there?f, and supp~ental thereto,
That a general system of Sewers be constructed in
and for said Sewer District Number One and that the
various sewers comprising such system be and they are
hereby enumerated and classified as follows,

DISTRICT SEWER:_ A ~istrict Sewer including as a part there~
a plant for treating the sewerage therein to be located as
fOllows,Commencing at a point approximately 395 ft. south
of the southerly line of the intersection of Park Street
and Outlook Avenue, thence running easterl~i to the 1dssissip
River, the treatment "plant as a part thereof to be located
at the easterly end of such district sewer near the bank of
said river,

Lateral Sewers

J..ateral Sewer No., to be constructed on :jlIiinnesota Strtt
from 1~in Street to Outlook Avenue.
Lateral Sewer No.2 to be constructed on-Outlook
Avenue from fuinnesota Street to Park Street.
Lateral Sewer NO,3 to be constructed on Park Street
from l~in Street to Outlook Avenue and on Park Street
extended south from Outlook Avenue. a distance of approx
imately 3~5 ft,to connect with the district sewer.
(4) Thu t the cost of said. district sewer be assessed agaiIJ.s
all of the land in sewer district ho.l subject to the
assessment for local improvements according to the special
f,e......;f't: to each lot, piece or parcel of land in the district
without regard to cash valuation,and that the entire cost
construction of all lateral sewers be assessed against each
lot,piece or parcel of land abutting thereon subject to
assessmant for local improvements at an equal s~ per
front foot without regard to cash valuation,
(5) That Toltz,King & Day, Inc,Consulting Engineers,be and
they are hereby appointed and selected as engineers and
they are directed to draw plans and spcifications for s~d
sewer system,and estimate the cost thereof,and tabulate
the result of their estimate of the cost and report the
same to the Council with all convenient speed,
Adopted by the Village Council October 14th,1929
The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by
kr,George Cornelius Trustee,and upon roll the same was
