S~ecial meeting of the Village Council
A Special meeting of the Village Council was held at the
hesidence of thk Village Clerk on ~ednesda~ Feb,lith,1930

l'i.eeting called to order by the Pres,at 8 oClock P.1i..
who stated that the object of thEts meeting was to consider
the ~lectric Light situation, The present contract with th~
Elk River Power & Light Co,for furnishing light and Power
for the Village being about to expire in June 1930
it was deemed advisable to be prepared to enter into a
new Contract with some Company to furnish said light and
power, .
After some discussion it was deemed auvisable to apP01nt
a. ~Brr,lr;4."':(' a comrr,ittee of 3 outside of the Co~cil to
look the situation over and report to the Counc1l at an
early date ~-----tLe-e~ ·
The travelint: expenses of said C0l111uittee to be paid by
the Council.
On motion duly made and seconded the following persons
were selected
Frank T.Vfuite Chairman
John Virgin
D.W.Longfellow
~.Z.Scott (alternate)
Thomas E.Beck ex_officio rres.of Council
Geo,Cornelius Trustee was instructed to p~rchasc gun
for the Village 1~rshal
It was voted to purchase an Acid pump for the Fire Depc
The Village Clerk was instructed to attend to the
]?urchase
The Sewer situation was discussed ~t some length but
no direct action taken
