RE: WWTP HEADWORKS AND SECONDARY DIGESTER COVER
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Dear Council Members:
Last December the City Council authorized preparation of plans and specifications for the
expansion to the headworks portion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). These
plans have now been completed and reviewed by Gary Leirmoe, Chief Operator of the
Wastewater Treatment Plant. The plans include the expansion of the headwork facility
which is where the flow from three major lift stations enter the plant. The plans also include
the replacement of the secondary digester cover. As the City Council will remember, the
primary digester cover was replaced in 2004. Attached for your consideration is a resolution
that authorizes the advertisement for bids for this project. The bid date is proposed to be
June .2, 2005 with the bids being presented to the Council at the next available City Council
meetrng.
If you have any questions regarding this issue, I will be in attendance at your May 2nd City
Council meeting.
Sincerely,
~pt~
