2. Each Councilmember draw a job.
Background/Discussion
The communications division would like to produce a series of videos promoting city services and to
highlight various jobs.
Staff has identified numerous ongoing work tasks our employees frequently partake in. We love our work,
some tasks more than others! If you have seen the Discovery Channel TV program Dirty Jobs,you may
get a feel for what we have in mind.We would like to add a creative twist by having council members star
in the video performing many of our important, and often more interesting tasks.
As you know, the ratings driver for reality TV is the drama associated with each episode. Staff has picked
our first five episodes and we would like the council to randomly choose which episode they will"star"
in.
Each video shoot will be scripted and should only require a couple hours of your time.After we have
posted the completed videos,we hope to return with five new jobs to discover.
DISCLAIMER: some jobs may be fun,some not so fun...
