Bond question d lscussed REGULAR monthly meeting of Village Council was held at the Council room of the ~unicipal Building on ~onday April 4th,lQ32- Present:- Donald E,Davis George Cornelius Charles E.Brown Joseph Flaherty W.F.Chadbourne Visitors Village Att'y Manager fuunicipal Band Fairbanks Morse & Co. Pres, Trustees:- Clerk F. T. Whi te D.A.Dare __Elwood Meeting called to order by the PTes,at 8.30 P.M. The minuets of the last regular meeting read and approved. The question as to sufficient bonds given by the 1st, bational Bank to the ~illage Council to secure the amount of the sinking fund deposited therein was taken up and discussed at length. On motion a committee of three was appointed b~r the pres,to interview the Dank in regard to increasing said bond sufficient to cover all deposits. Committee .l?res,1avis ,Charles Brown.and ~oseph FlaheI't~.. Donald A.Dare manager of the Municipal Band interviewed t the ,Council for further instructions as to the manner of proceedure to secure the 2 mill tax voted at the last election for the support of the Dand,after quite a discussion and reading a letter froE the Atty'General in regard to the matter. the following motion was made and declared carried that that the manager of the band make an itemized account of the expenQiturec each month for the sl...lJ?port of the.ooiand and present it to Geo~ Corneliustrustee.appointed by the l?res,for approval upon hi~ approval the ~lerk will isslie a warrant for the same.to be approved at the next regular meeting of the Council. - . . Charles lvi.Nelson (marshal)was instructed to procure fertilizer for the Village ~ark and apfly same as his Judgement deemed necessar~ N~.Elwood representing the Fairbanks ~orse Co,of St.Paul Fairbanks came before the Council by appointment to duscuss the :M.orse and Co" question of 1u.unici:pal ownership of its Alectric ..LIight Electric . plant using a Diesel Oil enginE; for pOWE-J'. light .i.v.r.Elwood Cave a very intereating talk on the subject Proposition presenting facts and figures to support his claim as tp discussed the cost of installing and opeaatLgg his system. and proposed that the Council visit some of his insallations in thi~ state. The Council seemed very much interested in his proposition,and will proceed to investigate the subject in the near future, . Municipal Band committee ap:pointed . The ~ibrary board presented a report as to the amount of money the~ would like to have for the coming year as the funds voted for ~ibrar~T purposes are not suf'fi cient for that ~urpose other means will have to adopted no action taken at the ~resent meeting. e e -- April 4th.1932-' continaeu e The following bills were presented and allowed.
