Regular meeting of the iillage Council
The regular monthly meeting of the Village Vouncil was
held at the Council room of the ~unicipal Bld'g on

~eeting called to order by the Pres:at 8.oClock P.M.
Minuets of the last regular and spec~al meeting read
and on motion approved.
A new proposal was presented by th~ E~H.Fower & Light
Co~for furnishing Llectricity for the Village was present
ed the subject was discussed quite freely.On motion of
C.E.Brown trustee the proposition was again tabled b~
a unanimoLAs~ vote of the Council until they have a report
from the committe a9pointed to secure an ~ngineer to
investigate the situation~Committee having asked for
further tim6 which was granted.
On motion the sum of 2,.00 was &:ppropriated for' the care
of the Houlton ~emorial rark.
The sec t y 0 f the :b;lk R:. vel' .Library Ass' n made a very
tho~ough report of the condition of affairs in that
institution,read and :placed on file.

Some discussion was had relative to having the Siren
sounded at 7.oClock A.M. as well as 6.P.M.as the Creamery
failed to sound their whistle at that time.
