Regular meeting of the Village Council, November 7,
1932, called to order by the Fresident at E o'clock P.~.

and D.b.Davis,
Ivcinutes of last meeting{regular) and special rr.eetiu
held to make up budget read and upon motion aEproved,
1I...inutes of special meeting held October 7,1 read and
then the following motion made, IvlX, J.D. Flaherty moved'
that the minutes of the meeting of October 31st, 1932, 6e
approved as read and that the action taken thereat calling
a special election, appointing judges and clerks, fixing
hours of election and poling place be in all things rati_

After thorough consideration, a motion was made by
J .D.Flaherty and second.eEl b~~ C,E Brown that temporar~r re_
lief be granted Mrs, AI~IHulbert in the amount of $15.00
per month for groceries anf other' goods, and a reasonable
amount of fuel; same to be charged to poo~ fund, 1,otion
carried unanimously,

the voters can see that these towns have enjoyed on the
average a lower mill rate and a lower per cap~ta tax ra
rate than Elk River and the people should not be freight-
ened by the propaganda of the power company which is
fighting to retain its monoply and which has never offe ..
offered any concessions until the Counvil started its ..
fight to secure lower rates,
