SUBJECT: Authorization to Hire Maintenance I
Item
The 2005 Budget includes funding for an additional Maintenance I worker for the Parks
and Recreation Department. There are currently three full-time park maintenance workers
to maintain 41 parks, 30 miles of trails and City Hall and Utility facilities grounds. The
position was posted in March, and 106 applications were received.
Summary
Human resources staff scored applications and the top ten scoring candidates were
interviewed. The interview panel selected Rodney Schreifels as the top candidate. Mr.
Schriefels was employed by the City of Lakeville, Parks and Recreation Department as a
maintenance worker.
Action Requested
Authorize hire of Rodney Schriefels as Maintenance I, pay grade 8, level C ($17.63 per
hour)
