Approval for Display of Fireworks/Pyrotechnics Special Effects

Background
The applicant has applied for a Display of Fireworks/Pyrotechnic Special Effects License
for July 4, 2005 in order to light a large fIreworks display at the Elk River Chamber of
Commerce sponsored Independence Day community event at Lake Orono Park. The
applicant has submitted the certifIcate of liability insurance and the fIre chief has reviewed
and approved the site plan.
Action Requested
Council motion approving a Display of Fireworks/Pyrotechnic Special Effects License for
the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce and Melrose Pyrotechnics, Inc. to conduct a
pyrotechnic display at Lake Orono Park on July 4, 2005.
