Acknowledge, in minutes, the recount for Councilmember Ward 1 was completed with no changes in the
official certification of the results approved by the Council on November 14, 2018.
Background/Discussion
Candidate Jill Larson-Vito requested a recount of the votes cast for the Councilmember Ward 1 race.
There was a two vote difference between the candidates with Jill receiving 1,140 votes and Garrett 1,142.
The recount was held on Thursday, November 29, 2018. There was no change in the vote count.
Financial Impact
This was a publically funded recount per state law.
